About Sonia Olla
SONIA OLLA, dancer. She was born in 1976, in Barcelona. She has a degree in Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Instituto del Teatro y Danza in Barcelona.
Sonia began her professional career at the Rafael Amargo Company, after studying with other great masters such as Merche Esmeralda, Manolo Marín, Mariquilla, and Antonio Canales, among others.
She has also worked as a soloist in different shows such as "Autorretratos" by María Pagés,"Ahora me voy con mi mare..." with Domingo Ortega,"Minotauro" by Antonio Canales,"En la Tierra" at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, and "Eclipse" by Marco de Ana, among others.
She is also a professor at the Casa Patas Foundation and participates in the Inaugural Gala of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union.
In 2012, Sonia Olla premiered her own show "Entretiempo" at the Teatro Núria Espert in Barcelona and at the Teatro Lara in Madrid, as well as continuing her tour of shows in New York with "Tres Capitales", with dancers of the stature of La Farruca and Alejandro Granados.
His latest production "Tiempo Al Aire" has been premiered at the emblematic Boulevard Theatre in New York and presented at the Flamenco Festival USA 2014.
In addition to her artistic productions, Sonia teaches flamenco dance around the world.
