MANUELA CARRASCO SALAZAR, bailaora. This great interpreter of flamenco dance, Manuela Carrasco, was born in Seville in the year 1954.
Daughter of the bailaor El Sordo, and married to the guitarist Joaquín Amador, made her professional debut at the age of ten, at Tablao El Jaleo de Torremolinos, from where she passed the so-called La Cochera, from her native land, where she remained for two years. In 1971, he toured Europe, forming part of the cast of Curro Vélez. On her return to Seville, she is hired to perform at Tablao Los Gallos. After its presentation in the flamenco festivals, in the Potaje Gitano de Utrera, it moves to Madrid, entering to form part as first figure of the Tablao Los Canasteros de Manolo Caracol.
