The current Patio Sevillano is located in front of the Triana Bridge and right next to the bullfighting arena la Maestranza. But the roots of this company go back to 1952, when its promoters opened the first “tablao” in Seville, el Cortijo del Guajiro, to which important personalities of politics, cinema and art of the era passed through the doors. These same doors were graced by the figures of artists such as Antonio el Farruco, Matilde Coral or Manuela Vargas.
A few years later, in 1956, the Patio Andaluz was opened in the heart of the historical city center. Stars such as Cristina Hoyos, Milagros Melgíbar, Chano Lobato, among others, shined on that stage. The locale continued the tradition of offering the best flamenco since 1973, date in which finally the current Patio Sevillano stands, in front of the Guadalquivir, an unsurpassable enclave in which artists like Isidro Vargas, Ana Mª Bueno, or Miguel Boceta continue the art of tradition and purity.
This laudable trajectory makes El Patio Sevillano the right choice, where the visitor comes away completely satisfied thanks to the quality of the performance as well as to the rendering of services offered.
El Patio Sevillano offer serious commitment and professionalism in their services. This is why, the Director as well as the locale, have been acknowledged and awarded several times for their efforts in favor of the popularization of flamenco and Andalusia culture in the face of an ever-growing tourism that is proving to be well versed in this art
The main hall has a seating capacity for 300 people, ordered in 3 different arrangements: a first row of seats located stage front and side, a second row of dining tables are on two levels (the second level is slightly raised), and lastly it has a top theater box which can only be accessed to by stairs and has a peripheral view of the stage.
The second hall as a seating capacity for 130 people with a central dining area. These tables are available for lunch or dinner meals (during peak season reservations are required)
Seats are NOT numbered, accommodation by order of arrival or prior dinner reservation. We recommend guests arrive 20 minutes before the start of the performance.
The lighting in both halls is appropriate to this type of raised stage setting peculiar to theater and completely equipped with technical and amplification back up. An exquisite and carefully designed stage set.
The halls can be rented for private events. We offer company lunch/dinner caterings, and give flamenco classes.
