About Alfredo Tejada
ALFREDO TEJADA ZURITA, flamenco singer. This Málaga native was born in 1979, moved to Granada at the age of 17.
In Granada he started his studies of solfeggio, singing and trombone at the Conservatorio Superior de Música, for four years. He started with the flamenco at the age of 13 with the guitarist Miguel Ochando, while he still studying vocals, which leads him to participate in different circuits all around Andalusia, accompanied on venues by great flamenco singers such as Calixto Sánchez, Chano Lobato,Carmen Linares, Fernando Terremoto, Remedios Amaya, and so on.
He holds, among others, the first Prize of "Jóvenes flamencos" in 2002, and the third Prize of Flamenco in "Los Montes", he won the prize for the best "Farruca" in Ubrique in 2004; Jumilla in 2007, Malaga in 2009, among others.
He started singing "pa atrás" with Mario Maya in 2005. He starts working with him, touring the most important theatres in Spain and abroad.
He has performed in the "Bienal de Flamenco" de Sevilla for three editions, and in the "Festival de Jerez de la Frontera" as an accompanist of various flamenco singing and dance figures.
